This policy explains what personal information KovaKits collects when you use this website or buy from us, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that information.

Who we are

KovaKits is a UK-based retailer of football shirts. You can reach us at kovakitshelp@gmail.com about anything in this policy, including any request to see, correct or delete your data.

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, delivery address, billing address, phone number if you give one, and what you bought. Payment is handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us or request a kit: your name, email address, and whatever you tell us in the message, including any image you upload.

When you join the mailing list: your email address.

When you browse: basic technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location from your IP address, and which pages you viewed. Your basket and recently viewed items are stored in your own browser and are not sent to us.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To fulfil your order and provide customer support. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
• To answer your messages and kit requests. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
• To send marketing emails, only if you asked us to. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep records of sales as required by tax law. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the business and our customers.

Who we share it with

We share what is necessary with the companies that help us run the shop. These are our website and store platform (Wix, including Wix Payments), our hosting provider (Netlify), our payment providers, and the delivery carriers who bring your order to you. Each acts on our instructions and is bound to protect your data. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred abroad, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as UK tax law requires. Enquiries and kit requests are kept for up to two years. Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email kovakitshelp@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses your browser's local storage to remember your basket and recently viewed kits. That information stays on your device. Our store and payment providers may set cookies that are strictly necessary for checkout to work, and your payment provider may use cookies to detect fraud. You can clear or block storage and cookies in your browser settings, though checkout may then not work.

Children

This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
